Position Title: Membership and Eligibility Coordinator

External Description:

Alignment Healthcare is seeking a membership and eligibility coordinator to provide support to the membership and eligibility department. As a coordinator, you would be responsible for performing daily duties, coordinating with vendors, running daily reports, scanning department documents, and ensuring the efficient operation of the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(May include, but are not limited to:)

  1. Track daily incoming member correspondence in, EZ-Member database, and assign to membership representatives.
  2. Maintain inventory and order department supplies as needed.
  3. Maintain and organize storage room storage room.
  4. Maintain accurate and current records of required documentation in support of both departments.
  5. Communicate with all vendor files.
  6. Maintain postage proof for all department mailings.
  7. Download files in EZ-Member as well as uploading the files of the Welcome packets and id cards to the mailing house FTP site on a weekly basis or as needed.
  8. Scan and index all documents for each enrolled or disenrolled member. Track all members scanned from each batch.
  9. Track all boxes forwarded King Data.
  10. Verify and process department invoices in a timely basis.
  11. Maintain miscellaneous deparment files in an organized fashion and create files as needed.
  12. Partner with the marketing department to order materials for welcome packets or other mailings.
  13. Assist with department mass mailings.
  14. Perform any other duties as assigned by membership and eligibility director or manager.

Qualifications

  1. Education and / or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None required.
  3. Other Qualifications:
    1. Knowledge of Medi-Cal, Commercial, and Medicare Managed Care Plans.
    2. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
    3. Basic Computer Skills, 25 WPM (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word)
    4. 10-Key by Touch

Skills and Abilities

  1. Language Skills: Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
  2. Mathematical Skills: Able to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Able to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  3. Reasoning Skills: Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
