External Description:

Alignment Healthcare is seeking a senior manager of marketing to be responsible for the development of material and maintaining the branding of Alignment Healthcare (AHC) along with its products and services, throughout all markets locally and nationwide.  As the senior marketing manager, you will work closely with the sales teams, both internal and external representatives, and with provider related departments and teams to support marketing efforts seeking greater public recognition. The senior marketing manager will work closely with the different departments within the organization to ensure compliance of regulatory requirements and streamlines processes wherein marketing efforts must convey program functionality to the beneficiary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

(May include but are not limited to:)

Marketing

  1. Collaborate with marketing staff to create strategic marketing plans on a local and national level to achieve corporate objectives. Collaborate with the marketing staff to create marketing plans and campaigns both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives for AHC.
  2. Manage advertising and promotion activities including print, website online material, electronic media, and direct mail.
  3. Assist with development and production of promotional and collateral materials. Establish and maintain appropriate and consistent branding throughout all product lines and throughout all markets - promotional materials, and events.
  4. Ensure effective control of marketing results and take corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
  5. Monitor competitive products and marketing activities. Serve as liaison with outside agencies on ongoing promotional campaigns.
  6. Conduct marketing surveys on current and new product concepts, and provide feedback for future product development.

Media

  • Create and enforce brand guidelines to consistently represent and promote AHC and its plan products and services. Identity standards that shall include but not be limited to logo (stacked, horizontal, and reversed) font and font size, tagline, color palette, and image type.
  • Manage print media buy schedule, including contract negotiations, and ad placement costs.
  • Manage digital advertising schedules, contract negotiations and ad placements.
  • Disseminate newspaper articles and case studies that appear in print and distribute accordingly to AHC sales representatives for grass roots marketing efforts and branding.

Proofread All Marketing Material

  • Manages and oversees creation of brochures, flyers, letters, EOC, SOB’s regulatory booklets including the Summary of Benefits, Evidence of Coverage, Drug Formularies, Provider Directories, etc. (all pre- and post- enrollment materials) as well as any other information for member distribution (for new, current and / or retention efforts).

Supervisory Responsibilities

The senior marketing manager reports directly to the director of marketing.

Qualifications

  1. Education and / or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong PowerPoint, Web & Design experience.
  2. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None required.
  3. Other Qualifications:
    1. Associate’s (AA) degree (preferred)
    2. Knowledge of Medi-Cal and Medicare Managed Care Plans
    3. General understand of CMS Sales & Marketing Guidelines, Chapter 3
    4. 2+ years' customer service experience
    5. 3+ years' supervisory experience

Skills and Abilities

  1. Language Skills: Able to read and interpret documents such as Medicare Guidance, Compliance Memorandum, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Able to write routine reports and correspondence. Able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  2. Mathematical Skills: Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  3. Reasoning Skills: Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  4. Computer Skills: Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Visio, Adobe Acrobat. required.
  5. Other Skills and Abilities:
    1. Knowledge of medical terminology
    2. Detail-oriented.
    3. Excellent communication skills.
    4. Follow instructions accurately.
