Position Summary:

Alignment Healthcare is seeking a OC community outreach specialist to project manage, track leads, and oversee provider engagement maximization. As a OC community outreach specialistyou will be helping to build and maintain relationships with contracted providers and community affiliates within respective market(s) and / or assigned territories to help the company meet and / or exceed goals. This position reports to the Vice President, Corporate Sales and will be exclusively dedicated the South Orange County (California) market.

General Duties/Responsibilities:

(May include but are not limited to)

  • Project manage specific doctors tied to select groups and assigned field representative.
  • Responsible to help drive and track leads generated through provider engagement while supporting assigned field agent to convert leads into sales.
  • Secret shop provider offices and community affiliates to ensure CMS approved marketing materials and quality service is being provided.
  • Help identify opportunities with providers and community affiliates to increase growth and retention efforts.
  • Ensure that Alignment Health Plan CMS approved materials are visible in provider lobby.
  • Support role to help manage and organize Provider in services with assigned agents and key offices / clinics.
  • Support role to help manage and organize Broker mixers held at Provider offices to introduce brokers to help grow practices.
  • Support role to help manage and organize Open Houses for Members / Prospective Members tied to specific Providers and / or Medical Groups.
  • Help identify Providers / office staff who are willing to be Guest Speakers and join field agents within the Community.
  • Help distribute Provider Bio Cards and CMS approved Alignment Marketing materials to community affiliates as needed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with contracted providers and community affiliates within respective market(s) and / or assigned territories.
  • Submit daily activity production reports and / or monthly reports as required.
  • Support field agent with group or one-on-one presentations to providers and/or local community affiliates.
  • Must have an understanding of new updates related to company and/or CMS and marketing guidelines required.
  • Attend ongoing sales trainings and best practices with team and other departments.
  • Required to have working knowledge of the health plan products, key contacts and overall vision and mission of the company.
  • Must be a team player, share best practices and attend staff meetings when required.
  • Must be willing to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year general sales experience and/or clinical and / or community outreach.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the CMS Marketing Guidelines.
  • Medicare knowledge and / or health insurance background preferred.

Education/Licensure:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Obtain life insurance license within respective selling state is preferred and will be required within 1 year of hire date.

Other:

  • Must have reliable means of transportation to get to all provider offices and community affiliates.
  • A self-starter who is a team player and extremely organized.
  • Able to motivate and educate providers, community affiliates, members and prospective members about company and health plan.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Solid computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
